RISINGER PROFESSIONAL PAINTING:
Risinger Professional Painting is a North Shore based interior and decorative painting company who contracted me to redesign their obsolete logo.
My first challenge in this logo redesign was to break down what parts of the existing logo could be reused. I decided to keep the paint brush, but I drew a new one, and alter what was coming from the paint brush. The abstract shapes, layers created by overlapping those shapes, varying sizes of the shapes, and colors of the paint brush and the abstract images really set this painting company’s logo apart from the rest. The old logo had the name of the company in an extremely disproportionate size compared to the imagery. I re-established the hierarchy of this logo by creating emphasis on the name of the company instead of the imagery.
The owner allowed me to take full creative license, and he loved the result.
