This label design is some what of an anomaly. The design is based on camouflage which is was created so the object that wears it becomes one with the environment. I have noticed that when camouflage is worn outside of a military setting (or environment it was intended for) it stands out like a sore thumb. Because of the originality of this design the whole bottle would stand on a pedestal among the other lower priced vodkas.
I used the Makarov illustration and repeated it to create a pattern. Using a single spot color I then created a camouflage effect by coloring certain guns certain colors. The hierarchy of this label still has the name being seen first as it contrasts so heavily from the camouflage.
I also used the repetition idea from concept three on the neck label. This label is truly unique. This design would be printed with a spot color. This way more then four colors would be able to be printed.
